Playing sports throughout my life has helped shape the person I am today. Competing against teams, friends, and family fostered a competitive drive that continues to motivate me. As I grew older I focussed specifically on basketball. Basketball taught me valuable skills such as teamwork, pursuing a common goal with peers, and leadership. I applied those skills beyond the court. My middle school peers voted me color war captain, my high school teammates chose me as basketball captain, and I served as president of the investment club.
