At Wade Consulting Inc, I work with a collaborative team of engineers and consultants specializing in building science, structural engineering, and roof consulting. In my role as a Building Envelope Engineer-in-Training (EIT), I assist in the assessment, rehabilitation, and design of new and existing building envelopes to ensure durability, energy efficiency, and long-term performance.Key Responsibilities- Conduct building envelope condition assessments and site reviews- Assist with construction contract administration, including shop drawing reviews and submittal evaluations- Perform field testing such as water penetration testing, air leakage assessments, and thermographic imaging- Draft technical specifications, engineering reports, and proposals- Support AutoCAD/Revit drawing preparation and coordination- Participate in business development initiatives and client communications- Ensure technical quality and accuracy in documentation and deliverablesThis position allows me to apply my civil engineering background while expanding my practical knowledge in building science and performance testing. I work closely with senior engineers and contractors to identify practical, code-compliant solutions that extend building lifespans and improve occupant comfort.
