I am a detail oriented and thorough designer and project manager with extensive experience in the design and construction of healthcare and other institutional (long term care, higher education, airports, etc.) facilities. I take pride and enjoyment from working closely with clients, users and community partners to ensure that the spaces being designed best meet the functional, aesthetic and operational objectives within the budget allocated. My significant experience in healthcare design as well as scientific and research fields allows me to easily and knowledgeably communicate with a broad range of users and project partners. I am passionate about the importance of patient-centred care and the incorporation of the patient and family experience into all healthcare design work undertaken. Finding ways to deinstitutionalize healthcare settings while not compromising proper function and infection control are key areas of focus in my work, be it in acute, primary, long term or outpatient care settings.
