₂ /₂ Synthesize pure anatase phase Titanium Dioxide (TiO₂) supports 2x a week for use with Rhodium and Iridium catalyst species. Confirm purity with XRD data. Practice safe wet-lab techniques when synthesizing pure anatase phase TiO₂ nanoparticle supports from TiCl4 precursors. Conduct BET, TPR, and Chemisorption gas-phase experiments on catalysts to gauge catalytic activity trends; troubleshoot with 2 PhD mentors when unexpected results arise. Regularly read scientific literature on TiO₂ support phase and loading to understand how slight deviations can lead to different catalytic properties: Employ file I/O techniques within Python to directly analyze flow rate data points from the mass spectrometer and display formatted Excel sheets and plots, reducing processing time for each catalyst sample from 10 minutes to ~8 seconds. Handle TPR data from the ChemBET containing significant amounts of noise by employing statistical analysis techniques such as the Savitz-Golay Filter within Python, allowing data trends to be visualized more easily and quickly.
