ABOUT NOAH ALATZA
From one of the nation’s youngest on-air journalists to the inaugural Chief Communications Officer at the University of Evansville, Noah has spent his career turning stories into impact, on air, in public relations, and in the community.He began his career in front of the camera as a college sophomore at WEVV-TV, the CBS and Fox affiliates in Evansville, Indiana. As a reporter and weather forecaster, he quickly distinguished himself as one of the youngest on-air journalists in the nation. By 2020, he quickly rose to weekend anchor and reporter for WEHT-TV and WTVW-TV Eyewitness News. His reporting earned accolades from the Society of Professional Journalists and Indiana Association of School Broadcasters, with work featured in The Washington Post, The New York Times, and Newsweek.In 2021, Noah transitioned to public relations, managing communications for Fortune 500 companies, local politicians, government offices, and small businesses as an Account Manager at Coverdale Consulting in Fishers, Indiana.Since 2023, he has served as the chief communications officer and chief spokesperson for the University of Evansville, leading the institution’s strategic messaging and community engagement efforts. Beyond his professional role, Noah is active in the community, serving on the boards of WNIN Tri-State Public Media and Southwest Indiana Recovery and Empowerment (SWIRE). In 2024, he was recognized on the Rotary Club of Evansville’s “20 Under 40” list.Originally from North Carolina but raised primarily in Westfield, Indiana, Noah developed his leadership and communication skills as an anchor on Westfield High School’s television program. He holds bachelor’s degrees in journalism and radio-television from the University of Southern Indiana and a master’s in Organizational Leadership from the University of Evansville.
