About N M Raghavendra

I am working as a Professor and Principal at the R R College of Pharmacy, Bengaluru, with over 23 years of experience in teaching, research, and administration. My mission is to plan, direct, and supervise the execution of academic, research, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities in consultation with all stakeholders. I also administer the educational and research ecosystem at the college to provide a comprehensive education to all students on par with international standards.My field of expertise is integrated drug discovery, which involves computer-aided drug design, medicinal chemistry, and cell biology to target adverse proteins. Trained globally in this field, with a Doctorate from BITS-Pilani, Rajasthan, and Postdoctoral fellowships from Purdue University, USA, and Fundação Oswaldo Cruz, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As a Professor, I teach and supervise B. Pharm, Pharm D, and Ph.D. students. My research team has received grants to discover novel chemical entities that can antagonize adverse proteins such as BRAF, HSP90, TLRs, and COX-2. Received multiple awards/fellowships, publications, and patents, for my research contributions. I am passionate about fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence in the academic and research community.
