I am a driven risk and compliance leader with expertise in banking and financial regulations, including exposure to tax law issues. After military service, I completed my J.D. in addition to several years of full-time leadership in FI compliance for the largest bank in the country. Now my focus is on leading and maturing the ERM program, among other duties, at a growing FinTech company. This experience has given me a comprehensive understanding of regulatory, risk, and client management practices. Furthermore, I bring a dedication to work hard and give my best for the success of the team. I proactively identify and address potential issues and nurture cross-functional relationships which enable me to be a change agent for continuous improvement. Experience
Enterprise Governance Senior Manager
Oct 2020 — Present · Chicago, IL, US
As a senior manager, I have the pleasure of leading an adaptable team who constantly looks for ways to create efficiency and reduce SME burden. Nearly every workflow that my team owns involves engaging multiple teams and business lines, such as managing external audits, partner due diligence requests and control audits, and renewal of Amount corporate policies. My team serves the governance function in the company GRC infrastructure to ensure that Amount meets its obligations in ways that set the company up for long-term success. My main focus is on Enterprise Risk Management and developing those policies and procedures. I consult with all levels of management by providing guidance and recommendations to help them conform to the company ERM structure and to shape KRI reporting to stakeholders. As the Business Continuity (BC) Coordinator, I am the primary stakeholder for business continuity. This includes ensuring partner obligations are met, creating and leading annual training, conducting annual exercises, and providing the executive team with an annual report of exercise outcomes.
