Provide acute inpatient rehabilitation OT services to patients with stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, complex orthopedic injuries, amputations, cardiopulmonary conditions, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurological disorders on specialized units-Provide acute care OT services to patients with neurological, orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, and medical/surgical conditions-Effectively communicate patients’ functional status, collaborative goals, DME recommendations, and discharge planning to the interdisciplinary team during daily team meetings-Provide client-centered education/training to patients and families on recommended levels of assistance for functional transfers/ADLs, DME recommendations, fall prevention, and energy conservation to maximize safety and independence upon discharge-Maintain productivity expectations, completing all documentation requirements in a timely matter (i.e. initial evaluations, progress notes, family training notes, DME/ letters of medical necessity, discharge summaries).
