About Nathan Lebioda
I advise boards and senior leadership teams at financial institutions on the regulatory and strategic issues that matter most — from inception through transformation to failure. As General Counsel and Managing Director at Chain Bridge Partners, I work alongside former FDIC board members and senior federal regulators to help financial institutions navigate the full regulatory lifecycle — from charter inception and de novo applications through recovery and resolution planning, with enterprise transformation and remediation in between. Before joining Chain Bridge, I spent nearly a decade at Wells Fargo, rising from Capital Markets Counsel to Executive Vice President in the Finance organization. I led the bank’s global recovery and resolution planning office, overseeing Wells Fargo’s pivotal shift from a multiple-point-of-entry to single-point-of-entry resolution strategy—along with other financial resiliency-oriented regulatory submissions across North America, Europe, and Asia. I served as a board member of Wells Fargo Intermediate Holdings, LLC and led several enterprise programs including negative interest rate preparedness, financed emissions measurement, and operational risk and compliance across a 4,100-person CFO organization. My career began in Big Law restructuring at Jones Day, K&L Gates and Winston & Strawn where I advised on some of the defining transactions of the 2008 financial crisis, including Chrysler’s Chapter 11 sale to Fiat and Lehman Brothers’ derivatives wind-down and ensuing litigation.I bring a rare combination: the legal precision of a restructuring attorney, the operational judgment of a finance executive, and the regulatory fluency of someone who has sat across the table from prudential regulators spanning three continents as a principal of a G-SIB.Areas of focus: · Regulatory and Risk Advisory & Remediation · Enterprise Transformation · Recovery and Resolution Planning (165(d) and CIDI) · Financed Emissions Measurement · Corporate RestructuringMcGill University (B.Commerce)| Washington & Lee University School of Law (J.D.)Licensed to practice law in New York and North Carolina
