Oversee the Port\'s $47 million energy business unit encompassing liquid bulk petroleum product distribution, shore power development, and the introduction of alternative and clean future fuels. Port Everglades receives 5.5 billion gallons of petroleum annually, providing one-third of Florida\'s transportation fuels. Serve as lead negotiator for energy-related commercial agreements and spearhead new service development initiatives.• LNG and Methanol Bunkering Development: Spearheaded LNG and methanol bunkering at Port Everglades, coordinating shipping lines, fuel suppliers, the U.S. Coast Guard, and first responders through regulatory approval and inaugural fueling. Bunkering providers now fuel vessels on a bi-weekly basis, representing a new capability for the Port.• Shore Power Program: Leading development of a $172 million shore power system serving eight cruise berths, including a new 110-megawatt substation, underground power distribution, and shoreside cable handling equipment.• Grant Development: Led teams of consultants and County staff to secure a $2.5 million EPA DERA grant and an MARAD PIDP grant for the shore power program.• Environmental Funding: Negotiated a $27.5 million funding agreement with the FDEP• Commercial Agreements: Negotiate petroleum pipeline license agreements, trackage agreements, and license agreements with major oil companies, railroads, and public utilities, collectively representing approximately 20% of Port Everglades\' annual revenue.• Board Governance: Prepare agenda items, resolutions, and supporting materials for the Broward County Board of County Commissioners on energy agreements, capital projects, and environmental matters.• Cross-Functional Leadership: Led cross-functional teams spanning legal, construction, environmental, and operations disciplines to deliver capital programs, commercial agreements, and new port services across public and private sector stakeholders.
