About Njeri Baker

With over ten years of experience in arts administration, education, and community engagement, I am currently the Education Program Manager at Roundabout Theatre Company, one of the nation\'s leading not-for-profit theatres. I hold a MA in Performing Arts Administration from New York University and a BFA in Theatre Technology from Howard University.In my role, I oversee the Theatrical Workforce Development Program, a three-year initiative that provides training, mentorship, and employment opportunities for young adults from underrepresented backgrounds who aspire to careers in the technical theatre industry. My core competencies include developing and managing innovative and impactful education programs, building and maintaining strong partnerships with diverse stakeholders, and creating and implementing effective marketing and communication strategies. I am passionate about advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion in the arts and culture sector, and fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for learning and growth. My goal is to leverage my skills and expertise to empower the next generation of theatre professionals and enrich the cultural landscape of New York City and beyond.
