ABOUT NJAHI MWANGALA
I am a geologist with over five years of experience in open-pit mining and hydrogeology, complemented by research in sedimentology and geochemistry. My career began at the Zambian emerald deposits in Lufwanyama District, where I served as a Production Geologist, overseeing geological pit mapping, ore control, and core logging while coordinating a team to ensure grade control and minimize dilution.I also bring hydrogeology expertise from the Water Resources Management Authority of Zambia, where I managed groundwater resources and permitting across major catchments. Additionally, my academic research on Lake Tanganyika’s sedimentary records provided insights into environmental and climate change, equipping me with skills applicable to oil and gas exploration.Currently, I work as a Contract Geologist with Turner Staffing Group for Barrick Mining Corporation at the Fourmile Project in Nevada.
