Engineering leader with knack of taking new challenges and continuously reinvent professionally. Professional with varied experience including joining early-stage startups (one successful and other not so much) to delivering solutions for enterprises (Largest automaker in US, India’s Largest TV Commerce platform). Technology focused and have delivered transformative solutions with large impact (Mobile Payments, Healthcare, Digital identity / service delivery platform, TV Commerce). I consider myself fortunate- To work on next gen technologies - mobile payments when it was novel, Microservices based architecture for TV commerce platform, private cloud setup in Government, blockchain and now advanced networks- To develop solutions for clients across the globe - starting from North America (Boston Area) and over the period worked with clients from Latin America (picked a bit of Spanish), Europe (admired quality focus), India (Large initiatives both in public and private sector) and now back to North America after my move to Canada- To learn from amazing mentors (Thrice with an ex-manager, twice with another)- To manage teams with extremely passionate and smart team members (much smarter than me) and opportunity to learn in multiple dimensionsI have always believed experience vs education argument is unnecessary and both are complimentary- Try to continuously learn and have earned SAFe PO/PM, PMP, Scrum Master and TOGAF certifications - Realized PMP has not helped me as much as my association with PMI. PMI has given me multiple opportunities including paper on Cloud Computing for Agility in Government, Member of PMBOK translation committee (with bonus opportunity to travel every week), Featured in a blockchain article in PMI magazine- I have considered myself Agile evangelist in all environments including startups (to have structure even with team <5) and large enterprise (to not over-do process and maintain engineering knack)Though I got opportunity to work on cutting edge technologies - advanced networks,blockchain, biometrics, microservices, private clouds, my focus has always been on developing solutions leveraging fit-for-purpose technology (not force-fitting).
