This was a startup-style, zero-to-one initiative inside AWS, requiring rapid innovation with lean teams while meeting extremely rigorous security, privacy, and quality standards.Before Amazon, I served as CTO/CDO at Edelweiss Life Insurance, where I led a multi-year digital and data transformation in a highly regulated environment, delivering 100% paperless onboarding, a unified enterprise data platform, and ~60% cost reduction, with decisions carrying regulatory, financial, and reputational blast radius.Earlier, as VP Engineering at PayU (2012–2019), I architected and scaled the core payments platform from inception to $20B+ annual TPV, grew the engineering organization from 4 to 75, and helped establish PayU as a profitable and trusted fintech platform—where reliability, latency, and availability directly translated into revenue and merchant trust.Across roles, I focus on building systems where technical decisions compound into long-term business moats, making high-judgment decisions under uncertainty and scale, and manufacturing leaders and self-sustaining teams.
