After 20 years of practising art & design, gradually but surely a realisation dawns, that creativity (lending form to imagination) is not an exact science and talent alone is not something that is going to help sustain your profession for a very long duration. This realisation, though intimidating, has helped me develop two critical capabilities: Curiosity and Process. Whether it’s about understanding the workings of a business or understanding the target user’s perspectives on visual / tactile experiences, being Curious is the enabler to gathering relevant data and the Process is what brings a structure to the act of creation. Straddling a design process is like living in liminal spaces, constantly crossing a threshold yet knowing when to pull back and bring practicality.These are but the essence of what Design thinking is. Coupled with a great pool of talent and a continued endeavour to build skills, we have developed a scientific /systematic approach of “giving form to ideas”I enjoy working on a potter’s wheel as much as I enjoy capturing nature’s intricate micro details through photography. I believe that each individual’s unique passions and curiosities are what gives form to a great team.
