About Nitin Saluja
Passionate public policy professional with deep experience in shaping impactful regulations and driving meaningful change at the intersection of technology, governance, and society. I currently serve as Director, Government and Public Affairs – India at The LEGO Group, leading policy strategy, high-level government engagement, and cross-sector partnerships that support the company’s long-term investment and growth in India. My work focuses on creating an enabling regulatory environment, strengthening Centre–State outreach, and aligning creative learning, skilling, and local ecosystem development with national priorities. Skilled in stakeholder engagement, policy analysis, and advocacy, I build innovative partnerships to address complex regulatory challenges. I work at the intersection of government, business, and society, helping organizations navigate India’s evolving policy landscape while supporting responsible innovation and institution building. Before joining LEGO, I served as Head, Public Policy – India at Amazon, leading engagement across e-commerce operations, digital media (Prime Video), taxation, corporate reputation, and crisis management. I also worked on emerging areas such as e-pharmacy and agriculture, helping shape pathways for new business models and driving strategic outreach across central and state governments. Earlier roles include leading policy programs and product support for TikTok at ByteDance and serving as Policy Programs Manager for India, South & Central Asia at Facebook. My foundational experience spans the World Bank, EY, and key government institutions including the National e-Governance Division (MeitY), where I contributed to the Digital India programme and advised the former Minister of State for Communications and IT. Alongside my professional work, I write on public policy practice, regulatory behaviour, and institutional learning, translating on-ground insights into accessible ideas for practitioners, students, and leaders.
