ABOUT NITIN LABHSETWAR
Dr. Nitin Labhsetwar is a Ph.D. with over 35 years of research experience in environmental and energy related research and presently working as a Chief Scientist & Chair, Environmental Resource Planning & Management Vertical and also Leading the Energy Resource Group at CSIR-NEERI Nagpur. He has worked as STA/JSPS Fellow and Visiting Overseas Researcher at NIMS, Tsukuba, Japan and as a Visiting Professor at Kyushu University, Japan under the Global COE programme on Novel Carbon Resource Sciences. He has also worked at other National & International Laboratories on development of materials and processes including low cost and nano-materials/catalysts for their applications in automobile emission control, GHG emission control, cleaner cooking energy, chemical looping combustion, cleaner energy generation including photocatalytic hydrogen generation etc. and handled over 150 projects. He has over 220 research publications with over 9650 citations and h-index of 53 and i10 index of 128 (google scholar) and 20 international patents in addition to a few contributions in books. He is an identified Expert for Central Pollution Control Board of India in the area of Air Pollution control (Vehicular emission) and also contribute as an expert to several other National and International agencies. His research and academic contributions are recognized through various awards/recognitions/fellowships including VASVIK-Award-2020.
