In my current role, I head the Product FP & A team supporting the UK Commercial and Category Directors. Through a team of functional specialists, my team is responsible for producing weekly flash, forecasts and analysis to support the category and finance director. My team stands over £14bn of margins across Fresh, Packaged, General Merchandise and clothing. The team produce high quality reporting, commentary and supplement with insight and analysis which help the finance and commercial teams take appropriate decisions. I also stand over the Contract and Commercial management audit team. My team is responsible for reviewing our commercial terms with key suppliers and identifying opportunities of revenue leakages.Across both teams, I have a team strength of 30. I lead the Every Voice Matters (EVM) initiatives across Finance to improve our colleague engagement in areas like learning and development, managing career options, well-being and play a crucial role in improving the culture across the entire team. I am driving commercial awareness across Tesco Business Solutions by leading sessions on ‘Finance for non-Finance colleagues’ to improve the overall commercial and retail acumen of colleagues across the business.
