My team is Demystifying search quality for Amazon’s search engine, which spans 100+ services and teams, making it challenging to pinpoint how specific metrics and system behaviors shape customer experience. A few highlights are: 1. Engineering massive-scale data pipelines processing 100B+ records/day, powering the RAG system used by search understanding LLM agents.2. Automating deep-dive investigations into search behaviors, enabling the system to explain why a given search result appears, how multiple teams’ systems interact, and which metrics most influence customer experience.3. Delivering a single authoritative source of truth for search-related questions, significantly reducing the time to identify, understand, and address quality issues across the organization.
