About Nithyagopal Goswami
Strong background in rock mechanics (Undergraduate major and Master’s Major) and geotechnical engineering (Doctoral Level Courses) provides me great versatility in the design and construction of most earth structures ranging from dams, slopes and foundations (Internship, NYSDEC*) to underground caverns and tunnels that house parts of hydro power plants (Graduate Engineer, SMEC**). Research at Rensselaer involves development of validation metric to compare centrifuge experiments and numerical results (OpenSees).
