The Fellowship in Embodied Social Justice in Mental Health at Pause for Perspective is a training and community space for mental health practitioners committed to reimagining care beyond the pathologising lens of mainstream mental health. It centers liberatory approaches that are rooted in social justice, drawing from anti-caste, queer and trans affirmative, disability justice, neurodiversity, and MAD pride lens. The fellowship includes ongoing training in somatic practices, neurodivergence and MAD studies, children’s and couples’ work, anti-caste mental health and embodied counseling skills. Alongside my fellowship training and therapy work at Pause, I also hold group spaces at the Queer Trans Center in Habsiguda and the Dalit Women’s Collective in Saidabad, Hyderabad.
