Lead design and delivery of highways schemes including speed reduction, collision mitigation, public realm enhancements, and active travel projects, ensuring compliance with DMRB, TSRGD, CDM 2015, Active Travel England, and LTN 1/07. Managed full project lifecycle from feasibility studies (traffic counts, pedestrian counts, speed surveys) and budget preparation (HMEP schedule of rates) to detailed design (AutoCAD), stakeholder consultation, ECI, permit applications, site supervision, and handover. Supervised the £2.3M New Bedford Road CYCLOPS Junction Improvement, resolving on-site design conflicts, revising drainage strategy per CG 501 guidelines, and coordinating with utility companies. Acted as Resident Engineer for the Butterfield Park & Ride project, overseeing planning applications and ensuring compliance with biodiversity, ecological, archaeological, and SuDS conditions. Developed and implemented Highway Asset Management Plans aligned with PAS 2161 using UKPMS systems (SCRIM) to support whole-life, risk-based maintenance. Supported principal and general inspections of bridges, subways, gantries, and retaining walls (CS450), preparing technical reports and identifying future maintenance needs.
