I specialise in using advanced visualisation to transform how we communicate complex scientific ideas, making data accessible, interactive, and compelling for researchers, stakeholders, and the public.At UKAEA, with my team, I lead the development and strategy of digital twin visualisation platforms, integrating high-fidelity simulations (e.g, Multiphysics, JOREK, Chimera), diagnostics, and engineering models into photorealistic, interactive environments and user experiences. My work helps scientists and engineers interpret vast simulation and diagnostic datasets, while also enabling non-expert audiences to engage with cutting-edge fusion research.The work I do generally spans 3D visualisations, immersive displays (e.g, Dimenco, Looking Glass), real-time HPC rendering pipelines, and AR/VR tools for control rooms, outreach, and digital engineering. I’ve spearheaded deployments on HPC, driven national/international collaborations (STFC, Hartree, Manchester University, UCL, Imperial, ORNL, ANL, Kitware, Nvidia, etc), and contributed to research featured in leading journals.I have an interest in collaborative learning, inclusive design, accessibility in scientific computing, and communicating science to the public.
