Working with some great engineering minds to simplify the employee punch-pay across Amazon. During the course envisioning and implementing Data Mesh/Data fabric Architecture for Timehub org. Few of the interesting work so far: DataOnDemand (DoD): DoD is a unique architecture based on a balanced way of pulling the data deterministically or heuristically. It is augmented with GenAI Agents, LLMs, and specialized custom built SLM (Small LM). DoD implementation has real-world efficiency gain on (1) data discovery challenges for customers, that eliminated K hrs/yr effort and shorten the avg. 2 months turnaround time to less than 3 days.(2) manual extraction and interpretation of structured data without assistance from DEs and BIEs that eliminated effort of avg. XX hrs/analysis, and (3) legal/compliance adhoc data pull requests that eliminated K hrs/yr to DE support.TimehubTransactional Data Store (TTDS): Rearchitected Amazon Timehub Data Stack from traditional DataLake to Data Mesh/Data Fabric architecture with NRT i.e.<10 mins latency for data availability. Data Mesh - 1st ever real-world implementation across Amazon PxT (SVP-L11 org) of AWS S3 Tables, Propelled growth through unlocking multiple NRT use cases such as OnPrem data set with K+ hrs/yr saving for Amazon operations. Also enabled Data Fabric-Data Depersonalization through central governance system reducing cost of depersonalization for Amazon by ~10X.
