A university lecturer and noted speaker in Paris, France, Nita Wiggins gave talks on two monumental civil rights topics in 2023. At le Musée de l\'Homme, she explained the militancy behind Dr. King\'s \"Normalcy, Never Again\" speech, which became known as the \"I Have a Dream\" speech. Working with the American Library in Paris\' On the Road series, Wiggins told the importance of the Birmingham Children\'s Crusade. The author from Augusta, Georgia, is currently adapting her CIVIL RIGHTS BABY to the screen. Says France Info: “We need this kind of testimony. It is a story of resilience.\"\"It\'s a profound book. I recommend it,\" says Jack Canfield, Chicken Soup series co-creator. Wiggins exposes the bad practices she outlasts in the TV industry to reach her goal of covering the Dallas Cowboys. She holds steady to her belief in equal opportunity and that fair treatment by managers would come to her, or that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 would protect her aspirations. New in the 2021 edition of Civil Rights Baby is the Congressional subcommittee testimony of three centenarians who survived 1921\'s Tulsa/Greenwood Race Massacre. The (President Jimmy) Carter Center accepted her memoir into its archives in 2022. Wiggins wrote the official biography of Josephine Baker for the gala celebrating Baker\'s inclusion into the French Pantheon.\"Baker flips the limiting biases of her day into opportunities and advancement,\" says Wiggins. Feature articles that Wiggins wrote on Croatia, Tanzania, and the French countryside have appeared in the Miami Herald. Wiggins has been interviewed in the Washington Post, Le Figaro, Poets & Writers, and on Senegal and Ivory Coast networks. Black Women in Europe® named her to its Power List for 2018. Straight talk On France 24 TV in Paris, Wiggins analyzes U.S. politics, race, women\'s careers, media accuracy, and sports beyond the field. On the air in October 2016, she predicted the win of Donald Trump. She predicted the win a year earlier in a lecture to her Paris university students. Wiggins trains journalism students how to produce relevant reports for readers and viewers. She has taught over 1,500 students from over 35 countries since 2009. The former reporter-anchor-interviewer also trains business executives in leadership, messaging, and public speaking. Philanthropist Wiggins has contributed time and money to study abroad programs, such as Augusta University\'s student trips to Senegal.
