I bridge the gap between advanced Data Science and impactful Public Policy. As a Research Data Specialist at CDSS, I lead cross-functional teams to build the data infrastructure necessary to combat homelessness in California- Led the division’s Housing Data migration to an enterprise data pipeline, establishing automated ingestion, governance standards, and secure handling of PII- Serve as the Project lead for the statewide Housing Support Program (HSP) evaluation, coordinating with Policy, QA, Housing, Counties, and navigating legal and privacy requirements, and managing the partnership with Research Partners- Develop data standards, documentation, and processes that improve data quality across HSP, HomeSafe, BFH, HDAP, and other housing programs.As a Product Lead and Data Scientist at Omdena, I lead and mentor a global team of AI and Machine Learning Engineers to deliver impactful solutions to socio-economic and environmental problems with startups, UN organizations, and NGOs. I have over four years of experience in research, AI/ML, and product development, specializing in scaling new technologies from concept to production. My background spans digital health, cloud data management, and semiconductors.I\'m deeply committed to empowering change through technology, enhancing access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. I excel at forming strategic relationships with stakeholders and partners, facilitating cross-functional global collaboration to tackle complex technological challenges. I also volunteer my free time in the local high school community, Junior Achievement, and various Data Science organizations, such as Omdena Chapter Lead, AI Girls (as a co-founder), Women Who Code, Women in Big Data, WIDS, and Women in AI. As a WIDS Ambassador hosting workshops and datathons, I want to encourage more women in Data Science.
