At Wisconsin Robotics, I worked as a Software Engineer on projects related to rover autonomy and perception for a URC-style robotic system. My work focused on object detection, where I built and labeled a dataset of around 200 images and trained a YOLOv7 model to support camera-based recognition of mission-critical objects. I collaborated with the team to improve the rover’s software pipeline for autonomous tasks, contributing to systems that helped the rover better perceive and interact with its surroundings.
