ABOUT NISHANT UPPAL

Nishu Uppal is a board-certified practicing internal medicine physician at Mass General Brigham, Associate Physician at Massachusetts General Hospital, and Instructor in Medicine on the faculty at Harvard Medical School. He currently serves as the Medical Director at Goodpath, a startup pioneering integrative care for chronic disease management, where he oversees the outcome measurement strategy for the company care model and works as a commercial strategist.In the past, he worked at BrightEdge, the innovation and impact investment arm of the American Cancer Society, where he developed quantitative approaches to impact investing via the ACS\'s venture capital fund and financial instruments focused on improving cancer care delivery in the US. He has also served on the Board of Trustees of the Massachusetts Medical Society and as a strategic advisor at multiple health care technology and device startup organizations. As a healthcare policy researcher, he has served as a co-investigator in multiple research areas across Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He has authored publications in the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, and Health Affairs and has been featured in multiple press outlets. He holds an MD from Harvard Medical School, where he graduated with honors and was named a Presidential Scholar. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he received the Hospital Corporation of America Fellowship and Social Enterprise Fellowship. He graduated summa cum laude with a BS in biomedical engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
