ABOUT NISHANT SHARMA

Have a work experience of 11years. Having served in different locations ranging from High altitude of Leh Ladakh in temperatures as low as -40 degrees to Northeast sector of Dimapur in a counter insurgency environment to southern most islands of Andman and Nicobar in Port blair where excessive rain falls and cyclones are prevalent.During the stint of 11 years have have been successful in execution of operational works upto the tune of 70 crores within tight deadlines and a harsh environment of temperature dipping to -40 degrees in Leh Ladakh sector (Hanle), it involved induction of heavy machinary,plants and equipment, placed demand for these machinaries,tracked supplies and equipment needed for execution of Operational Works.Looked after administrative requirements of troops under my command and also ensured their proper documentation to make sure they are not be devoid of any benifits which are authorised to them, submitted timely operational reports to higher commanders for their further perusal.Handled the challenging security environments in north east sector of Dimapur which is a counter insurgency area by establishing and ensuring dynamic security grid, area domination, liasioning with local authorities organization and application of field intelligence and combat data to enhance troop safety and operational success.Handled Military Engineering Services work which involved construction of runway works upto the tune of 105 crores, as Engineer-in-Charge ensured the highest quality is maintained during the execution of work and thus gained the expertise in Runway Construction at Port Blair Andman Nicobar which was PQC(Pavement Quality Concrete) Runway.During conunter insurgency tenure in Jammu and Kashmir led the team and carried out the recce of enemy area along line of control to gather intelligence regarding enemy natural and artificial obstacles and further developed strategic plans to meet operational objectivesTrained and mentored personnel in combat operations and tactics, devised and implemented battle plans to achieve tactical objectives.Created contingency plans to address unexpected tactical scenarios.By the the virtue of being in Corps of Engineers provided me with the opportunities to gain exposure in both tactical and technical
