In this role, I have gained experience working with a range of cell types including iPSCs, neurons, fibroblasts and astrocytes. This has included freezing/thawing cells, weeding iPSCs, performing neural inductions, and culturing numerous iPSCs in parallel. I also got the opportunity to work with 3D cultures including organoids.My role involves significant molecular biology work including DNA/RNA extractions, PCR/qPCR, E-gel electrophoresis, FACS, ICC, and mycoplasma testing; I have also been involved in performing ELISAs and Magnetic Activated Cell Sorting (MACS).I have been involved in numerous projects and gained experience writing project reports and study plans. I have also been involved in writing SOPs and have gained significant experience in using FCS Express, ImageJ, and Microsoft Office Packages.

ABOUT NISHANT JOGLEKAR

Through my PhD and role at Talisman Therapeutics, along with my current work at Oxford StemTech, I have developed extensive experience in mammalian culture with a range of cell types, including iPSCs, neurons, microglia, and T cells. I have also gained experience in 3D cultures including culturing organoids. I have been involved in experimental design and independently developing and troubleshooting assays, and have gained significant experience in numerous molecular biology techniques including ELISAs, flow cytometry, ICC, e-gel electrophoresis, DNA/RNA extractions, and PCR. I also worked as a Scientist at Oxford Biomedica in a regulated GMP environment as part of a large multicultural team. I was involved in QC checking documentation and gained experience performing RNA extractions and PCR while following GMP guidelines paying attention to key details. Additionally, through my work, I have developed strong presentation and data analysis skills, with experience using numerous software packages including GraphPad Prism, FCS Express, ImageJ, and Microsoft Office. I have also been involved in producing SOPs and study plans.
