Advanced Supplier Quality (ASQ) is responsible for leading supplier component development programs, ensuring that suppliers meet technical, quality, and capacity requirements throughout the product lifecycle. This role involves close collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to conduct technical and feasibility reviews, tool development and validation, monitor Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes, evaluate production capacities, manage Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions, perform VDA 6.3 audits, and address quality issues through root cause analysis and risk assessments.Key Responsibilities-Supplier Component Development:Lead supplier component development programs, including technical reviews, feasibility assessments, and maturity evaluations to ensure suppliers can meet project requirements with all potential suppliers.Finalize supplier nominations based on comprehensive evaluations and project needs than present with global team for approval in sourcing meeting.Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)- Monitor and review APQP processes to ensure timely project implementation per customer SOF timelines; conduct capacity evaluations, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP):including PPAP Run at Rate assessments, to verify production readiness; and facilitate the release of Part Submission Warrants (PSW) to suppliers, confirming compliance with IMDS quality standards.Risk Management and Problem Resolution:Manage risk assessments related to supplier processes and escalate issues as necessary to mitigate potential disruptions. Perform root cause analyses on supplier-related problems and implement effective corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement.VDA 6.3 Audits:Plan, perform, and document VDA 6.3 process audits at supplier sites to assess and enhance process capabilities with timely closure of audit findings and implementation of corrective actions.
