About Nisha Holla
Nisha is an author, researcher and engineer. She is Visiting Fellow at the Observer Research Foundation and Technology Fellow at the Center for Cellular and Molecular Platforms, Bengaluru. A Carnegie Mellon alum, Nisha\'s passionate about applying multivariate optimization in the real world, dabbling in fluid dynamics, and deconstructing the effect of chemicals on health and the environment. She recently moved back to India from the San Francisco Bay Area where she worked at the cutting edge of hardware product development in semiconductors and fuel cell technology. Nisha regularly writes about the Indian economy, higher education, technology and policy. She led the production of India’s first report on deep science innovation, as Consulting Editor for YourStory. Nisha also co-authored and presented a report to the Maharashtra government with economic models for the state economy to reach USD 1 trillion GDP by 2025. She co-authored an exhaustive report surveying India\'s human capital development, released at the 15th FICCI Higher Education Summit in Nov 2019. In Dec 2019, Nisha was part of a team to produce an comprehensive survey of Bengaluru\'s fast-growing innovation ecosystem, released by the Karnataka Vision Fund. In 2019, Nisha was nominated and placed #3 on YourStory\'s Top 100 Emerging Voices.
