Responsible for gathering and analyzing geological, hydrogeological, and geochemical data in both field and office settings as part of environmental remediation consulting work for various Oil and Gas companies (clients), including but not limited to Chevron Corporation and ONEOK Inc.• Apply standard field practices and geological and hydrogeological techniques using standard field equipment to collect soil, sediment, groundwater, and surface water samples; and complete chain-of-custody or similar paperwork.• Perform detailed soil logging in the field, documenting the soil\'s physical characteristics such as color, texture, grain size, moisture content, and organic matter presence. Identify and classify soil layers according to the Unified Soil Classification System (USCS), ensuring accuracy and consistency in classification.• Oversee subcontractors performing work to include, but not limited to, drilling, installation of groundwater monitoring and recovery wells, vegetative maintenance, surveying and communicate details of the activities to the project manager in a timely manner.• Preparation of site-specific maps incorporating geological, hydrogeological, and laboratory chemical data, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project standards.• Ensure all field activities comply with state and federal regulatory standards including, but not limited to, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA), the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE).• Technical report writing including, but not limited to, groundwater monitoring reports, site assessment reports, and response action plans.• Keep detailed records of all field activities, including operations and maintenance, daily logs, photographic documentation, and safety documents.
