Work with the state of Michigan’s historically underserved communities including disabled, ethnic, housing insecure, justice impacted, language access, LGBTQ+, senior, and veteran groups to create opportunities for direct access to Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson and the Department of State Sr. Leadership Team members, programs, services, and educational resources.• Supervise the office of external affairs public engagement team and the planning and execution of public engagement initiatives such as Voters Confidence Council, Community Conversations, Election Preparedness Townhalls (EPT), Motorcycle Safety Campaign, Partners in Democracy, County Jail ID, and the Grand Prix Youth Driver’s Education program for the Michigan Department of State.• Manage and oversee the statewide coordination and continued development of the mobile office program including developing and implementing strategic stakeholder outreach and promotions for the Michigan Department of State.• Serve as liaison between the department and general public to advise on solutions to improve access to and equitability of Secretary of State services, the delivery of excellent customer service, voter engagement, and education regarding secure elections for the Michigan Department of State.• Develop and implement strategic promotional outreach plans and provide support such as staffing and facilitating for department projects and special programs such as Road to Restoration, SOS Connect, and weekly online webinar series MI Vote Counts for the Michigan Department of State.• Oversee constituent relations for the Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson including responding to public inquiries via social media, phone, and mail, and represent the Michigan Department of State at public events.• Build and maintain statewide relationships with department stakeholders and recommend engagement opportunities for programming, special projects, and events for the Michigan Department of State.
