An Instrument Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of instrumentation and control systems used in industrial settings such as manufacturing plants, oil and gas facilities, power plants, and chemical processing units.Job Responsibilities:Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation equipment, including pressure, flow, temperature, and level sensors.Troubleshoot and repair faulty instruments and control systems.Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on instrumentation.Work with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and DCS (Distributed Control Systems).Ensure instruments comply with safety and quality standards.Interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.Collaborate with engineers, electricians, and other technical personnel.Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.Skills & Qualifications:Knowledge of instrumentation principles, electronics, and process control.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P & ID diagrams, and technical manuals.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with industry standards such as ISA, ANSI, and OSHA regulations.Experience with calibration tools and testing equipment.Strong understanding of safety procedures in hazardous environments.
