ABOUT NIR LIPSMAN
Neurosurgeon-scientist focused on neuromodulation, translational neuroscience, and building high-impact clinical and research programs.My work centers on functional neurosurgery and the development of novel therapies, including focused ultrasound and circuit-based interventions for neurological and psychiatric disease. I lead and collaborate on first-in-human and multi-site studies aimed at accelerating safe innovation into clinical care.I currently hold senior leadership roles at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and the University of Toronto, where I am deeply committed to faculty development, mentorship, and system-level strategy, to ensure high quality neurosurgical care for patients across Ontario and Canada. I value collaboration across institutions and disciplines to advance patient care, research, and the future of academic neurosurgery.
