   Nov 2022 — Present · Hyderabad, IN

   I am part of the Risk & Compliance Engineering team, where we build products to make compliance and managing risk easier for Google products. My work revolves around architecting systems, reviewing designs and implementing code. I focus on writing readable and reliable code, setting processes to bridge gaps between developers, testers and business, introducing automations and pipelines, and helping my peers grow.Major projects:1. Led the development in a team of 4 engineers, building new features and migrating 100k+ records from a 3rd party GRC tool to our team\'s 1st party offering, interacting closely with the product, business and GTM teams to ensure smooth cutover. This effort helped us save $2M+ annually on contract and maintenance expenses for the 3rd party tool. Led the devops team, setting up the release processes, cadence and processes to regularly deploy 5+ servers, 5+ databases and 1 frontend to match our team\'s sprint development schedules & manual QA testing schedules, making our releases & features verifiable with high confidence, meeting internal best practises for release frequencies. This process has been in operation for our product for 18+ months now.3. Developed a highly configurable GRC tooling designed to handle the ever-changing data models in the Compliance world, catering and onboarding multiple teams within Google to our product. My focus was on defining the configurable schemas, and setting up the frontend (Dart) to automatically handle data model updates without requiring code changes.
