ABOUT NINO OLGESASHVILI

Ms. Nino Olgesashvili has over 16 years’ experience in international development, including leadership roles on international development programs and over a decade of administrative, financial, and operational management of USAID projects in CIS, MENA and Southern Africa with a cumulative value of over $150M. She is currently leading all aspects of program operations for a $19m USAID Financial Innovation Program in Tbilisi, Georgia, and was previously a Senior Grants and Subcontracts Manager on the $52m USAID Feed the Future Malawi Agricultural Diversification Activity in Lilongwe, an acting DCOP, Operations for the $23m Feed the Future Egypt Food Security and Agribusiness Support Project. Her degrees are in Applied Economics (MA), Agribusiness Management and Marketing (BA), and Accounting (BA).Nino is a seasoned project manager with extensive expertise in USAID grants-under-contract, FAR and AIDAR compliance, financial management, budget development, reporting, and realignment, MEL activities, and liaising with donors, government, and commercial stakeholders. Her technical experience includes organizational capacity development, financial management, budgeting, operations process improvement, business planning, research, and data collection, and supported various projects as a capacity building trainer, researcher, proposal coster, and liaison to USAID, local governments and businesses. Nino has been part of the program leadership teams for over 7 years and supervised teams of up to 12 people across multiple offices at once. With over a decade of oversees experience, Nino understands the cultural, political and economic setting of Eastern Europe/CIS, MENA and Southern Africa having implemented projects in Georgia, Moldova, Kosovo, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Egypt, and Malawi. She speaks native-level English, Russian, and Georgian.
