ABOUT PRABHJOT ASSI

A Senior QA Lead with 17+ years of experience across QA engineering, automation, and technical project leadership. My core belief is simple: quality is a practice built into delivery, not a phase at the end.I currently work at Ready When as a Senior QA Lead, where I own automation end-to-end. I’m building the automation framework from scratch, migrating existing Cypress tests, establishing strong manual testing processes, and introducing tools that create a reliable, scalable test case repository. My focus is on making QA lean, agile, and proactive,embedding quality from the very beginning of product development.Before this, I worked at Closer, where I wore multiple hats across Project Leadership, QA Leadership, and Automation Ownership. I led QA strategy across squads, designed and automated critical workflows, managed on-call escalations, coordinated closely with developers, and oversaw third-party vendors. I played a key role in transforming QA processes, improving operational efficiency, and raising engineering standards across the organization.Alongside my full-time roles, I also support Treefort Technology as an IT Consultant, helping teams modernize testing practices, migrate to stronger project management tooling, and establish scalable automation foundations that support long-term growth.Across every role, my focus remains consistent: • Build systems that scale • Automate anything that creates friction • Strengthen collaboration between QA, Dev & Product • Ship reliable software with fewer surprises. I’m passionate about replacing reactive testing with intentional quality practices, and building teams that feel confident in what they ship.
