Early in life, I was exposed to the power of diplomacy and charisma as my father continuously drew himself and his team out of risky situations while working with CARE and WFP. Keen to follow in his footsteps I was thrilled when I was recruited to work with the Foreign Office. I knew it would provide me with a platform to establish myself as a leader and make a positive impact by steering operations to support progressive economic and social change in two countries.My passion for my work has resulted in significant gains. For example, I successfully led a $24M project to set up a British diplomatic mission to facilitate bilateral trade and a cultural relationship between the United Kingdom and India. This involved recruiting, evaluating, and selecting a representative of the Foreign Office, confirming bids from international and domestic contractors, implementing operational and security procedures, hiring diplomatic and local staff, and liaising with ministerial and bureaucratic contacts in the UK and India.With more than a decade of operational excellence behind me, I’m confident in my program, project, and risk management abilities. I possess an intrinsic need to constantly improve on my skills and place importance on ensuring my team also has adequate personal and professional development support. In all my roles, I have made a personal investment my team to inspire engagement and achievement.
