About Nina Joss
I\'m an ambitious, curious and self-motivated writer and leader, dedicated to facilitating more connection in our society. I seek to create a healthier, more just and more empathetic world through storytelling and community engagement. In the content creation realm, I have experience in journalism, podcast production, video, photography, newsletter writing, marketing and social media management. That said, I really hit my groove when I get to work face-to-face with people. Whether I am facilitating a bilingual listening session for local newspaper readers or helping a podcaster reach their growth goals, I love it when I get to put my brain with others and dream. Magic happens in community, and I live by that in my work.As a project and people manager, I bring organization, vision and clear communication to my projects. I am comfortable under pressure and I love solving problems.I believe stories have the power to bridge gaps between diverse individuals, build trust and combat polarization. Overall, I aim to create spaces for those things to happen. My work has been published by Colorado Community Media, the Colorado Sun, Rocky Mountain PBS, Summit Daily, CBS4, the Sentinel Colorado and the Better Conflict Bulletin. I currently work at Local Media Association, where I help lead and coach newsrooms towards their philanthropic goals.Cover photo credit: Gil Asakawa. Headshot credit: Deborah Grigsby.
