About Nina K. Gordon
I have been performing music professionally since 1965. Solo performances with guitar 1965-present; Top 40 and club date band 19••••86; duo performances of jazz & pop standards and cabaret 1985-present; children\'s concerts & parties 19••••90; country-western band 1991-present, 60s/70s oldies band 2011-present.My career in therapeutic recreation began in 1985; first as a strolling musician, and then as a Creative Arts Therapist and Events Coordinator for the Hebrew Home for the Aged at Riverdale (now RiverSpring Health). After leaving HHAR in October 2007, I joined Atria Senior Living and was Engage Life Director at Atria on Roslyn Harbor for three years, then transferred to Atria Cutter Mill in Great Neck, where I worked until June 2013. After leaving the senior living industry, I moved in with my mom and became her caretaker until her death in 2018. Since then, I am once again primarily a musician, performing at a variety of venues with a special affinity for senior audiences.Specialties: Accomplished musician and performer with an extensive repertoire of songs in many genres. Decades of experience in working with people with dementia, in groups and one-to-one.

Not just another \"classic rock\" cover band, Rear View Mirror plays favorite music from a variety of genres: 60s + 70s pop, rock, R&B, blues. in a word, eclectic. With three-part harmonies and superb musicianship, they take listeners on a groovy ride through the soundtrack of their youth! After a few years of playing around Long Island under the name Rear View Mirror, the band has now become known as The Nina Gordon Party, and can be found performing as a duo or trio, as well as a 5-piece band.
