Since May 2024, working as a freelance Structural Engineer - 2 to 4 days a month. Worked as a structural engineer at Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal and Hay Point Coal Terminal to conduct structural inspections of heavy industry structures and material handling equipment to manage the structural integrity of the major assets.• Carried out asset integrity audits through the identification of structural defects with direct and tangible impact on the structural reliability and safety of the structure. Typical structures include – conveyors (truss structures), stackers/reclaimers, offshore/marine structures, ship loaders, etc.• Determined the priority of a defect (structural and non-structural) by conducting risk assessments and giving a risk rating.• Developed a detailed structural report/action sheet consisting of risk rating, repair methodology, potential incidents, failure mechanism, and a rough estimate to assist the clients in managing the risks associated with their assets.• Generated site instruction documents providing repair details/guidelines to rectify the defects or design modifications to upgrade existing structures.• Conducted drone inspections in accordance with Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) to overcome the limitations and cost of conducting crane inspections by inspecting the machines when operating/online.
