About Nina Senesac Crowley
I work at the intersection of obesity care, body composition, and behavior change—helping clinicians and organizations move beyond weight-centric models toward care that’s evidence-based, patient-centered, and compassionate.I’m the Director of Clinical Thought Leadership & Partnerships at seca, where I lead high-impact education, key opinion leader collaborations, and strategic partnerships focused on body composition, muscle health, and metabolic outcomes. This includes creating and sharing clinical education through webinars, practice guides, and my podcast, In the Know with Nina, where I explore obesity care, GLP-1 therapies, and the real-world challenges clinicians and patients face. With a background in health psychology and years in clinical obesity care, I care deeply about how we communicate. Language matters. My work is grounded in behaviorally informed, stigma-aware approaches that build trust and support sustainable change for people living with obesity.I’m also a bit of a professional association volunteer enthusiast—I love working alongside clinicians across disciplines and settings. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Obesity Action Coalition and on the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Committee on Lifelong Learning, staying actively involved because meaningful change happens when clinicians learn, lead, and collaborate together.People work with me because I bring rigor, empathy, clarity (and always a side of fun), and because advancing obesity care should feel collaborative, not overwhelming.
Experience
Director of Clinical Thought Leadership & Partnerships
Jan 2026 — Present · Mt Pleasant, SC, US
I lead clinical thought leadership and strategic partnerships for seca’s medical body composition division, with a focus on advancing evidence-based care across obesity, cardiometabolic health, functional medicine, and primary care.Key areas of focus include:• High-impact clinical content creationI oversee the development of webinars, practice guides, clinical tools, thought leadership narratives, and podcast content—prioritizing clarity, clinical relevance, and real-world application. My work translates complex body composition and metabolic science into practical education clinicians can use.• Key Opinion Leader (KOL) relationship developmentI build and manage relationships with leading clinicians, researchers, and educators across cardiometabolic, functional, and primary care settings. These collaborations support co-created content, educational programs, and events that elevate clinical dialogue through trusted voices.• Strategic partnerships & thought leadership programsI lead collaborations with professional societies, academic partners, and advocacy organizations to advance shared priorities, strengthen clinical standards, and position seca as a validated, evidence-based leader in body composition assessment.Across all areas, my work centers on moving care beyond weight-centric models—using body composition, muscle health, and behaviorally informed communication to support better clinical decision-making and patient outcomes.
