ABOUT NINA SIMOES
I am a producer and creative director with over 20 years’ experience. Under the umbrella of my company Translimits Storytelling, I produce stories and cross-cultural and international co-productions using new technologies, audience participation and live events. My portfolio includes projects for the BBC, Channel 4, UK development agencies, and advertising agencies in São Paulo/Brazil as well as clients and collaborations such as BBC Connected Studio, Ravensbourne, Reboot Stories, Power to the Pixel and Columbia University. I lead creative and innovation projects from brief to execution and enjoy managing and motivating a variety of teams of designers, writers, developers and technologists to work on both short and long term projects. In addition to running Translimits Storytelling, I lecture at the School of Postgraduate Studies, Design and Innovation at Ravensbourne and am a guest speaker and lecturer throughout the UK. I also produce Learn Do Share UK, part of a global initiative to bring together practitioners across disciplines to explore storytelling, design thinking, and social innovation in the 21st century. I hold a PhD in New Media from the University of the Arts London. Specialties include: Experience on creating and managing multi-platform projects. Responsible for managing design teams and creative processes. Supervision of schedules using project management software. Maintain timelines and budgets.
