ABOUT NINA PLUVIOSE
Motivated student seeking internship experience in psychology and public health. I chose the major of psychology because it blends science and philosophy. Mental health issues are often unseen or stigmatized within immigrant communities. As a Haitian American, I hope that by I can combat this stigma and increase utilization of mental health services among underserved populations. In being in clinical spaces where people who look like me are underrepresented, I want to demonstrate that caring for mental health is critical for well-being. I look for opportunities that both challenge me, and support personal growth and professional development.
