Accountable for the overall administration and organization of Rehabilitation Services (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology departments) reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer.Plans and directs the clinical and business aspects of all Rehab programs offered by the service including financial management, marketing, human resources, productivity. Responsible for the successful integration of the hospital quality, medical quality, and continuous quality improvement programs.Accountable for customer/patient satisfaction for the service lines. Provides liaison and administrative support. Design services to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served. Embodies and demonstrates the CFMC values in the working environment.Plans, facilitates, monitors (at times through delegation to subordinate management), and actively manages clinical performance standards, operational efficiencies, and rehab department business objectives for each level of service (acute, ECU/hospital-based SNF, outpatient) within the hospital.Understands, articulates and ensures compliance with the National Quality Forum Patient Safety Practices as well as patient safety practices that may be mandated by any regulatory agency. Assists in assuring compliance with hospital, HFAP/JCAHO/IDPH and state and federal guidelines. Directs the Nursing Mobility Training orientation for all new employees, including Safe Patient Handling, Safe Mechanical Lift use (e.g, Hoyer Lift, Sit-to-Stand).Member: Accreditation Readiness Committee, Environment of Care Committee, Quality Council and Stroke CommitteeEMR: Epic
