About Nina Luong
Hi, I am a fourth-year student at Harvard College pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I am constantly exploring new ways to apply my knowledge and skills to real-world problems. I have a passion for understanding the intricacies of how things work, and I am excited to be part of a field that has such a profound impact on our daily lives. Through my coursework and hands-on experience, I have gained experience in designing and analyzing mechanical systems. I have done several design projects, including designing parts in SOLIDWORKS, building robots, and devising an urban infrastructure plan. In addition to my mechanical engineering background, I also have a strong foundation in electrical engineering and computer programming. I have completed coursework in circuits, control systems, and signal processing, and I have done data analysis in MATLAB using C/C++. My experiences will allow me to contribute to interdisciplinary projects and collaborate effectively with team members from different engineering disciplines. Coming from an underrepresented and disadvantaged student background as a female first-generation, low-income student, I value universal development and innovations. I am eager to contribute my skills and creativity to projects that have a positive impact on society, and I am always seeking new opportunities to learn and grow as a professional.
