This Expert Group will thoroughly examine the challenges and threats posed by the 3D virtual world and create opportunities for law enforcement to engage proactively. Its objectives are to: · Identify the needs and challenges in terms of threats posed by Metaverse and opportunities for law enforcement. · Serve as a neutral, global and trusted platform for collaborative and innovative problem-solving and the global exchange of ideas, resources and best practices in relations to Metaverse. · Cultivate diverse partnerships that will improve and develop capacity and capabilities in achieving a safer Metaverse. · Adopt creative thinking and multi-disciplinary collaboration to build a culture of proactive engagement and planning on Metaverse. · Engage with national governments and international forums to shape secure-by-design Metaverse.
