About Nimrit Kaur
A highly motivated university of Glasgow MRes in Biomedical Sciences graduate student with a specialism in cancer studies. I am a hard working and passionate individual who is always willing to learn. I aspire to be a researcher and aim to be committed for the betterment of the society by contributing in bringing major advances in medicine and better treatment options to help the mankind. Seeking to achieve organisational goals in a research position by using the skills gained by working at The Beatson Institute of Cancer Research UK with an excellent ability to take directions from supervisors and work independently with minimal oversight.My previous work experience has helped me develop strong scientific skills and has allowed me to develop strong leadership skills. Adept with in vitro laboratory techniques including mammalian cell culture, PCR, nucleic acid extractions, western blotting, viability assays, molecular biology, restriction digestion, gel electrophoresis, adenoviral and shRNA transfections (CAT II trained).
